Proactive Supplier Management
Home Up

What is it?  How do you implement it? Why would you implement it?

Proactive supplier management is a transformational change in your current supplier management program.  Instead of acting reactively you act proactively.

Proactive supplier management is implemented through a series of step changes.  For example, most suppliers are issued a Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR) for an issue.  When you and the supplier work in harmony or as Dr Joseph Juran would refer to it as a partnership, SCARs are reduced and replaced with Supplier Preventive Action Request (SPAR).

By implementing a proactive approach to supplier management you are not just in compliance, but also exhibiting a quality mindset.  Remember, the Quality System Regulation is the bare minimum requirements your company must adhere to.  In order to stay off the FDA radar screen you must stay current (the c of cGMP) with the regulations.  Why not let Freije Quality Engineering, LLC, help you achieve a state of compliance?

In addition to exhibiting a quality mindset another benefit is lower quality cost due to fewer failures with your processes.
